‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ Teaser Trailer

Return to the world of Maleficents Happily Never After with this brand new teaser trailer from Disney!

Featuring an orchestral rendition of Donovan’s Season of the Witch and introducing Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith, the sequel to 2014’s film will also see the return of Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora as well as introducing all new foils for Angelina Jolie‘s anti-heroine to scheme against.

Despite some pointed criticisms, for the most part the Disney live-action remakes have been steaming along successfully; I myself have to admit that the first Maleficent was much, much better than I was expecting.

Mistress of Evil is helmed by Joachim Rønning who co-directed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales alongside Espen Sandberg.

Plot Synopsis:

A fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will be released on October 18, 2019, in time for an early Halloween.
