Netflix has released an official trailer previewing its upcoming 2023 film slate. Let’s take a look and see what we can expect from the streamer this year.
Okay, there are actually some films in this video I wouldn’t mind seeing. Idris Elba back as Luther in The Fallen Sun? Uh, yes, please. Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake in Extraction 2. Then there’s They Cloned Tyrone, which features a trio of great actors — John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx — and Heart of Stone, starring Gal Gadot as Rachel Stone.
I’m always down for a heist movie and Lift looks like it has an ensemble cast that might just make this worth checking out. Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Sam Worthington is one hell of a cast. Finally, Netflix has decided to close out 2023 with Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, which has to be Netflix’s most highly-anticipated film of the year. Could this be the start of the next great sci-fi franchise? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Plot Synopsis:
Luther: The Fallen Sun begins streaming on Netflix on March 10, followed by Extraction 2 on June 16, They Cloned Tyrone on July 21, Heart of Stone on August 11, Lift on August 25, and Rebel Moon on December 22, 2023.
