New ‘Frozen II’ Trailer

Disney has just released the new Frozen II trailer, and it looks like this sequel manages to evoke The Empire Strikes Back in ways every big Hollywood sequel tries, but fails to do.

It looks like Frozen II is going full steam ahead on uncovering the secrets behind Elsa’s magical powers. Did her mother have powers? Are their individuals with spring, summer, and fall power sets? Will Elsa’s powers be too much and she turns to the dark side? Isn’t that water horse freaking cool!

I only liked the first Frozen because Olaf was funny, but in these trailers Olaf looks like the least interesting part. So Disney might have just turned this franchise into a must-see action/adventure that includes talking snowmen and musical numbers. That sounds like a win for everyone.

Plot Synopsis:

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, she’ll face a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.

Frozen II hits theaters November 22, 2019.
