Netflix has released an official trailer for Mank, the upcoming biographical look at the writing and making of Citizen Kane
Gary Oldman has been turning in career best performances his whole life, but it has only been in the last decade that he has begun getting recognized with awards. He finally won his first Oscar a couple years ago playing Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour. Based on the trailer above, he may be adding a second Oscar to his shelves come next April.
Plot Synopsis:
1930s Hollywood is reevaluated through the eyes of scathing wit and alcoholic screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz as he races to finish “Citizen Kane.”
Mank hits select theaters in November before streaming worldwide December 4, 2020 on Netflix.
