‘Now You See Me 3’ Confirms Returning Cast Members, Adds ‘The Holdovers’ Breakout Star

Now You See Me 3 has found its cast.

According to The Hollywood ReporterJustice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers), and Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie) have all closed deals to join Lionsgate‘s Now You See Me 3.

Original cast members Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman are expected to reprise their roles as thieving illusionists. Now You See Me 3 marks a return to the franchise for Fisher, who was unable to appear in the second movie due to her pregnancy. Her character was replaced by a new one, named Lula, played by Lizzy Caplan. No word yet on whether Caplan will also be back for the threequel.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, though THR notes that “the new feature will once again delve into the world of the illusionists and the bickering and sneaky quartet known as the Four Horsemen while introducing audiences to a new generation of magicians.”

Ruben Fleischer has signed on to direct Now You See Me 3. The original 2013 movie was directed by Louis Leterrier, while Jon M. Chu directed 2016’s Now You See Me 2. Eric Warren Singer, Seth Grahame-Smith, and Mike Lesslie penned the script.
