‘Old’ Super Bowl Trailer: M. Night Shyamalan is Back

Universal has released a teaser for Old, director M. Night Shyamalan‘s latest film. The teaser was released during Super Bowl LV.

This is a pretty good trailer. It teases just enough while not giving away anything. Why is everyone growing older? I’m sure I could read Sandcastle, the graphic novel that inspired the film, to find out, but that’s no fun. I want to go to the theater and be immersed in what Shyamalan has created.

Plus, the cast is pretty fucking spectacular. You may have recognized Gael García Bernal, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, Abbey Lee, Embeth Davidtz, and Rufus Sewell popping up during “The Big Game Spot”.

Plot Synopsis:

This summer, visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan unveils a chilling, mysterious new thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly … reducing their entire lives into a single day.

Old hits theaters July 23, 2021.
