‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Super Bowl Trailer: The MCU Finds Its Next Captain America

Marvel Studios has released an official trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The trailer debuted during Super Bowl LV and offered fans a ton of new footage of Captain America’s former buddies try to move on with their lives following his retirement.

I want this now!

WandaVision is killing it right now (I don’t want to hear it, haters), and Phase 4 is off to a promising start. The newest trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier teases the dynamic between Anthony Mackie‘s Sam Wilson / Falcon and Sebastian Stan‘s Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. I mean a staring contest?! These two obviously have some issues to work out before they become best buds!

Also, we have Emily VanCamp and Daniel Brühl back as Sharon Carter and Zemo. We haven’t seen either since Civil War, so it will be nice to see what they have up to since the events of that film. Apparently, Sharon has been on the run for breaking the Sokovia Accords and who knows how long Zemo has been free. We recently got confirmation that Don Cheadle will appear, so there is a good chance we could be seeing other MCU actors make an appearance. Perhaps “Thunderbolt” Ross? I guess we’ll have to see in just over a month.

Plot Synopsis:

After being handed the mantle of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson teams up with Bucky Barnes in a worldwide adventure that puts their abilities to the test as they fight the anarchist group the Flag-Smashers.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premieres March 19, 2021 on Disney+.
