‘Persuasion’ Trailer: Don’t Let Anyone Tell You How to Live or Who to Love

Netflix has released an official trailer for Persuasion, an upcoming drama film based on the novel of the same name by Jane Austen. Let’s take a look.

I haven’t read the book, but from what I’m told, you can never go wrong with a Jane Austen novel. I might have to give this a shot. The cast looks good.

Persuasion stars Dakota Johnson, Cosmo Jarvis, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Richard E. Grant, and Henry Golding.

Plot Synopsis:

Living with her snobby family on the brink of bankruptcy, Anne Elliot is an unconforming woman with modern sensibilities. When Frederick Wentworth—the dashing one she once sent away—crashes back into her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to second chances. Adapted from the Jane Austen novel.

Persuasion begins streaming on July 15, 2022 on Netflix.
