Sony has released the official teaser trailer for Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, and if you needed any more proof that this franchise is replacing the live-action/CGI Alvin and the Chipmunks films in the category of “How did a sequel(s) get greenlight?” look no further than below.
The rabbits are back and hitting the road (or sky because I guess rabbits skydiving is a thing now?). James Corden is back to voice Peter, while Domhnall Gleeson and Rose Byrne return as his owners/parents(?). Seriously, I’m not entirely sure of the dynamics involved in this relationship, but just know that the kids are loving it.
Plot Synopsis:
In Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, the lovable rogue is back. Bea, Thomas, and the rabbits have created a makeshift family, but despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation. Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated, but when his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway hits theaters April 3, 2020.
