Power Rankings: Top Films with One Word Titles

The SAW Power Rankings is our weekly (starting in June) ranking of a certain movie related topic. Please feel free to comment on our rankings and provide a list of your own in the comments below.

This was a lot tougher than I expected it to be because there are a lot of fantastic movies with one word titles. Sure, certain ones pop in your head right off the bat, but once you think about it and look at all these great movies, it becomes a lot more difficult. Several of us at the SAW offices struggled with picking just five and even overlooked some awesome movies. However, we all settled in on five, and our rankings are below.

Inception (2010) and Alien (1979) appeared the most by showing up on three lists. Of course Duke didn’t pick a movie outside of the 80’s and this decade. If you are thinking Dhalgren is trying too hard, it’s because he is. Lastly, King Al and Ben had the most similar lists having three of the same films listed.
