‘Reminiscence’ Trailer: Hugh Jackman is a Private Investigator of the Mind

Warner Bros. has released an official trailer for Reminiscence, starring Hugh Jackman. The upcoming science-fiction mystery action thriller film was written and directed by Lisa Joy (Westworld) in her feature directorial debut. Let’s take a look.

Wow, this looks like the sort of film Hollywood usually doesn’t make anymore with this kind of talent or budget involved. Aside from Reminiscence being an original film, its trailer also didn’t reveal 90% of the movie like so many other films’ trailers do these days. Might this be a sleeper hit at the box office this year?

I was a huge fan of Westworld in its first season, so I’m definitely willing to check out what Lisa Joy has crafted here. And I’m always down to see Hugh Jackman.

Plot Synopsis:

Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman), a private investigator of the mind, navigates the darkly alluring world of the past by helping his clients access lost memories. Living on the fringes of the sunken Miami coast, his life is forever changed when he takes on a new client, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson). A simple matter of lost and found becomes a dangerous obsession. As Bannister fights to find the truth about Mae’s disappearance, he uncovers a violent conspiracy, and must ultimately answer the question: how far would you go to hold on to the ones you love?

Reminiscence hits theaters and HBO Max on August 20, 2021.
