HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!!
To commemorate actually being able to survive in the Wasteland a whole year, we’ve elected to make this month’s theme focus on Steven Spielberg, the winner of our Director Battle Royale Face/Off. You’ll be seeing an official SAW Ranks the movies of Steven Spielberg list later this month as well as a list counting down his most memorable movie characters.
So, what has changed in the last year and what can YOU do to help shape the future of ScreenAge Wasteland?
Well, we have more merch! A huge shoutout to K. Alvarez and Bob Cram who have made numerous pieces of art that occupy our RedBubble Shop. If you want to support the upkeep of the site, please consider purchasing a t-shirt or mug. We have lots of cool designs including original artwork and retro movie logos.
Also, keep an eye out for even more merch launching later this summer!
ScreenAge Wasteland also got into the podcasting. Vincent Kane and Sailor Monsoon co-host Night of the Lists and Total Recast, two movie podcasts that couldn’t be farther apart in terms of focus. One delves into every corner of the horror genre while the other reviews and recasts classic movies. We’ll let you decide which is which.

We are always tinkering with new ideas for the website. Some we love, some we hate. Some get good views, some don’t. For any of our readers who haven’t made the jump to commenting, now is the perfect time to set up a Disqus account and introduce yourself to us by telling us your favorite movie. I promise we don’t bite. Well, Sailor might, but that’s only because he hasn’t had his morning Vodquil yet.
And just as the commenters are an integral part of ScreenAge Wasteland, a website is nothing without content. That’s why we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has ever contributed content to the site in the past, present, or future. Your personality and opinions have helped give SAW a unique voice in this growing wasteland we call home.
All of our writers volunteer their time for the site. We’d love to pay them actual cash for their work, but unfortunately that is not possible at this time. However, we can give their other non-SAW related projects and social media accounts a shoutout!
