‘Space Force’ Trailer: Steve Carell is Back in Full Michael Scott Mode

Netflix has released the official trailer for Space Force, a new comedy series from The Office co-creator Greg Daniels and star Steve Carell. And while I was originally skeptical about this idea I have to say that I enjoyed every minute of the trailer below.

While I was smiling throughout the whole trailer it wasn’t until Carell started singing “Kokomo” that I was grinning and sold on this insane concept. It’s great seeing Carell step back into a comedy role after years taking on more dramatic fare. The rest of the cast is packed with heavy hitters too, so I’m excited to watch this and hopefully get some much needed laughter.

Plot Synopsis:

A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.

Space Force season 1 drops May 29, 2020 on Netflix.

What do you think, screenagers? Would you journey out of the wasteland and into space?
