‘Spell’ Trailer: Evil Tales Have Their Roots

Paramount has released an official trailer for Spell, an upcoming horror movie that will be perfect to watch at home this month. Let’s take a look!

I’ve always found the idea of voodoo dolls fascinating and to see them being used here gives me one more reason to watch this film. The cast looks solid and it looks like there’s a mystery worth untangling.

Spell stars Omari Hardwick (Sorry to Bother You), Loretta Devine (Crash) and John Beasley (The Sum of All Fears, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks).

Plot Synopsis:

While flying to his father’s funeral in rural Appalachia, an intense storm causes Marquis (Omari Hardwick) to lose control of the plane carrying him and his family. He awakens wounded, alone and trapped in Ms. Eloise’s (Loretta Devine) attic, who claims she can nurse him back to health with the Boogity, a Hoodoo figure she has made from his blood and skin. Unable to call for help, Marquis desperately tries to outwit and break free from her dark magic and save his family from a sinister ritual before the rise of the blood moon.

Spell hits PVOD and digital on October 30, 2020.
