New ‘Spider-Man Brand New Day’ Trailer Confirms Tramell Tillman’s MCU Role

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Marvel Studios has released a new official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker / Spider-Man for the seventh time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The rest of the returning cast for Brand New Day includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk.

While Sadie Sink‘s role remains under wraps (although all signs point to her being Jean Grey), the closed captions for this new trailer confirm that Tramell Tillman has been cast as Bill Metzger, who will be the Director of Damage Control (and probably an anti-mutant activist).

Destin Daniel Cretton replaced Jon Watts in the director’s chair for Brand New Day, while Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers returned to write the screenplay.

Plot Synopsis:

It’s a Brand New Day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see.

The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters on July 31, 2026.
