Sony has released an official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie serves as the fourth solo Spider-Man outing for Tom Holland’s version of the fan-favorite webslinger.
As its title implies, Brand New Day marks a new era in the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise. Everyone has forgotten Spider-Man’s secret identity, meaning Peter Parker is back being a broke, and broken (boy is looking DEPRESSED in that trailer), college student. It’s everything fans have been begging Marvel Studios to bring to Holland’s version for years. Goodbye, fancy tech suits, hello, the classic spandex!
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Cast

Holland returns as Peter Parker / Spider-Man for the seventh time in the MCU. The rest of the returning cast for Brand New Day includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, who, for some reason, isn’t Smart Hulk anymore.
Actors making their MCU debuts in the new Spider-Man movie are Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Eman Esfandi, and Liza Colón-Zayas, with Marvin Jones III playing Tombstone.
While their roles remain undisclosed at this time, reports have claimed that Sink and Tramell are playing Jean Grey and William Metzger, respectively. Based on the trailers, it looks like Esfandi is playing MJ’s new love interest (please don’t be Paul).
Destin Daniel Cretton replaced Jon Watts in the director’s chair for Brand New Day, while Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers returned to write the screenplay.
Plot Synopsis:
Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters on July 31, 2026.
