‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer: Peter & Stephen Break Open the Multiverse

It’s finally here.

Sony and Marvel Studios have just released the first official trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Let’s take a look!

Okay, I’m impressed.

I have always been iffy on the idea of the Marvel Cinematic Universe branching into the multiverse and incorporating previous non-MCU film versions of characters. I’m still against Sony trying to shove Venom and Morbius into the MCU, but damn if this trailer hasn’t got me hyped for seeing the Raimi and Webb villains interact with Holland’s Spidey.

There were a lot of visual and auditory Easter eggs to pull from the first teaser trailer from a shot of lightning and sand to Willem Dafoe’s sinister Green Goblin laugh to freakin’ Alfred Molina coming out of the rubble as Spider-Man 2‘s Doc Ock!

Furthermore, I am so happy that this film will actually being giving Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange an important part in the film. For the first time in the MCU Spider-Man franchise, it does not feel like MCU characters are being shoehorned into the film solely to get more butts in the seat.

Spider-Man: No Way Home just jumped to the top of my list of most anticipated MCU projects. I’m all in now and will be there opening night. What about you?

Plot Synopsis:

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters December 17, 2021.

Screenagers, are you interested in seeing this? Do you think it will be the best Holland-led Spider-Man film yet?
