Netflix has released an official trailer for Stowaway, an upcoming science-fiction thriller about an accidental stowaway that uproots a meticulously planned trip to Mars.
Huh, it definitely looks intriguing, but there is something so damn familiar with this premise. I feel like I’ve seen it a dozen times already.
That said, the cast looks pretty great. Toni Collette (Hereditary), Anna Kendrick (A Simple Favor), Daniel Dae Kim (Hellboy) and Shamier Anderson (Wynonna Earp) is a cast I can get behind.
Joe Penna (Arctic) directed the feature from a script by Penna and Ryan Morrison.
Plot Synopsis:
On a mission headed to Mars, an unintended stowaway accidentally causes severe damage to the spaceship’s life support systems. Facing dwindling resources and a potentially fatal outcome, the crew is forced to make an impossible decision.
Stowaway begins streaming April 22, 2021 on Netflix.
