‘That ’90s Show’ Trailer: Red & Kitty Are Back to Terrorize a New Generation of Teens

Netflix has released an official trailer for That ’90s Show, which picks up 15 years after the series finale of That ’70s Show. Let’s take a look.

I haven’t seen a single episode of That ’70s Show, but you know that I’ll be watching this sequel series. What can I say except that I’m a sucker for legacy sequels. Just kidding, I’m going to watch That ’70s Show first.

Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp return as Red and Kitty Forman, respectively. Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Wilmer Valderrama, and Tommy Chong are also back as Eric Forman, Donna Pinciotti, Jackie Burkhart, Michael Kelso, Fez, and Leo, respectively, although in a guest capacity.

Plot Synopsis:

The spinoff is set 1995, with Leia Forman (Callie Haverda) desperate for some adventure in her life or at least a best friend who isn’t her dad. When she arrives in Point Place to visit her grandparents, Red and Kitty, Leia finds what she’s looking for right next door when she meets the dynamic and rebellious Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide). With the help of Gwen’s friends, including her lovable brother Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan), his smart, laser-focused girlfriend Nikki (Sam Morelos), the sarcastic and insightful Ozzie (Reyn Doi), and the charming Jay (Mace Coronel), Leia realizes adventure could happen there just like it did for her parents all those years ago. Excited to reinvent herself, she convinces her parents to let her stay for the summer. With a basement full of teens again, Kitty is happy the Forman house is now a home for a new generation and Red is, well…Red.

That ’90s Show begins streaming on January 19, 2023 on Netflix.
