Universal has released an official trailer for The Black Phone. The horror film is a feature-length adaptation of Joe Hill‘s short horror story of the same name. Let’s take a look.
I really liked that trailer. It reveals just enough to get you interested. I will definitely be seeing this next February.
The Black Phone stars Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, and Ethan Hawke. Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange) directed from a script he co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill (Sinister).
Plot Synopsis:
Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
Movie Title hits theaters February 4, 2022.
