The Canon | ‘Blade Runner’ (1982) & ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ (2015)

We’re excited to announce ScreenAge Wasteland’s newest podcast, The Canon: An Essential Movies Watchlist. To get things started, we’re premiering with a special two-episode drop.

Two great movies. Lots of fun conversation. One legendary Canon.

We hope you enjoy listening, screenager!

Episode 1: Blade Runner (1982)

‘The Canon’ kicks things off with a doozy! This April we’re celebrating 100 years of Warner Brothers Studios, so we obviously picked one of the studio’s best films for today’s episode — Blade Runner. Raf is joined by SAW legends K. Alvarez, Billy “Dhalbaby” Dhalgren, and Sailor Monsoon to talk about Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic. We’re talking cyberpunk, androids, Harrison Ford, and much, much more.

Episode 2: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Let’s get furious! We’ve got more Warner Brothers studio celebrations for Canon episode numero 2. This time around, Raf is joined by Marmaduke Karlston and Sailor Monsoon (he’s back) to talk about Mad Max: Fury Road. We’ve got a whole lot to talk about around this movie, including George Miller’s failed Justice League project.
