Focus Features has released an official trailer for The Card Counter, starring Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Force Awakens). Let’s take a look.
Yup, I’m (all) in. Isaac is a talent I look forward to seeing in projects (cannot wait for Moon Knight), so I’ll give this a whirl.
In addition to Isaac, the film also stars Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan, and Willem Dafoe.
Plot Synopsis:
Redemption is the long game in Paul Schrader’s THE CARD COUNTER. Told with Schrader’s trademark cinematic intensity, the revenge thriller tells the story of an ex-military interrogator turned gambler haunted by the ghosts of his past decisions.
The Card Counter hits theaters September 10, 2021.
