‘Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant’ Trailer: A Bond. A Pledge. A Commitment.

MGM has released an official trailer for The Covenant, an upcoming action-thriller film by director Guy Ritchie. Let’s take a look.


Jake Gyllenhaal leads the cast of The Covenant as Sergeant John Kinley, a USAF TACP member, with Dar Salim co-starring as Ahmed. The rest of the cast includes Alexander Ludwig, Antony Starr, Jason Wong, Jonny Lee Miller, Bobby Schofield, Sean Sagar, Sina Parvaneh, Emily Beecham, Cyrus Khodaveisi, and Christian Ochoa.

Plot Synopsis:

Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim). After an ambush, Ahmed goes to Herculean lengths to save Kinley’s life. When Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised, he must repay his debt by returning to the war zone to retrieve them before the Taliban hunts them down first.

The Covenant opens in theaters on April 21, 2023.
