The Horror Movie Mega Draft | Wasteland Movie Draft Podcast #3

Welcome back to another episode of Wasteland Movie Draft!

This podcast under the ScreenAge Podcasts umbrella of content is simple: every month, we’ll have a new episode centered around a certain theme with our contestants taking turns drafting to create the ultimate movie team.

If you’ve never seen (or heard) a draft before, don’t you worry. If you’re a sports person, it functions just like a snake draft, but for those who are unfamiliar:

• Draft starts with the first contestant taking their first pick, second and third will do the same, but the fourth contestant gets to pick two selections
• Order will then reverse going 4 -> 1 (with the first drafter then getting two picks) and 1 -> 4 until everyone has filled their draft board

However, we’ve decided to switch things up a bit this time. As we dive into October, the spooky season has inspired us to do a horror movie draft, but with some modifications to how the game goes.

Since this beloved and long-running genre can break down in so many different ways, this time around we’ve separated our picks into specific horror sub-genre categories. To try and cover the wide berth of content this genre has given us over the course of more than 100 years, players had to select one movie from each of these categories to build their lineup:

• Found Footage
• Creature Feature
• Vampires/Werewolves/Zombies
• Demonic Entity
• Serial Killer/Slasher
• High Concept Horror
• Body Horror
• Wildcard

So, ScreenAge members Jacob, Romona, and Bob joined me (Tyler) to talk all things horror and then draft our ultimate horror teams.

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or watch the episode on YouTube, and then come back to vote on who YOU think won The Horror Movie Mega Draft!
