‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’ Trailer: These Are Not Your ’90s Ducks

Last night, our first official look at The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers was shown during Disney Investor Day.

For some reason, Disney has not released the trailer online, which I find really weird. So the best I can do is share this random guy’s tweet who managed to snag the trailer during the event. Shout out to Peter Andrianopoulos!

I really like the idea of the Mighty Ducks becoming exactly what they originally set out to not be: a powerhouse hockey team. I’ve barely seen any of the films, but I’ll probably watch them before this series comes out. I’m all for ’80s stars like Emilio Estevez having a bit of a career revival!

Plot Synopsis:

Game Changers is set in present-day Minnesota, where the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to a super-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. When 12-year-old Evan (Brady Noon) is cut from the team, he and his mom Alex (Lauren Graham) join forces with Coach Bombay to build their own team of misfits to challenge the elite Ducks team.

The 10-episode series will begin streaming on Disney+ in 2021.

What do you guys think? Interested in seeing this at all?
