The Monsterverse Continues With ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Title Reveal

Warner Bros. and Legendary have released an official title reveal trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. And I gotta say… my interest is piqued.

After the success of Godzilla vs. Kong, it was announced that director Adam Wingard would return to the Monsterverse for the sequel, and coming along for the ride is Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes, and Kaylee Hottle as Jia. But this time around we also have Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, and Rachel House also joining the cast.

I know I’m all in for another film in this series. I liked all the other ones more than I probably should.

Plot Synopsis:

This latest entry in the Monsterverse franchise follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire opens in theaters on March 15, 2024.
