The Official ‘Birds of Prey’ Trailer Is Here

Warner Bros. has just released the new Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) movie trailer. Although it isn’t a straight Suicide Squad sequel, it does give us a better look at Harley’s character and opens up DCEU character base some more.

While this does look like another Suicide Squad type team-up, this time Cathy Yan‘s Birds of Prey has Harley Quinn joining up with heroes Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) as well as Gotham City police detective Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to help protect the young Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) from the evil Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) and Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina).

I don’t know … Suicide Squad was pretty lackluster overall but I did like Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, so I’ll probably see this down the line.

Plot Synopsis:

Since the events of Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn has left the Joker. Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime. When a young girl named Cassandra Cain comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord who goes by the name of Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to protect her.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) hits theaters February 7, 2020.
