Universal has released an official teaser trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, an upcoming animated film adaptation of Nintendo‘s Mario video game franchise. Let’s take a look.
I’m going to say it: I don’t hate Chris Pratt‘s Mario voice. Is it great? No. Does it sound like Mario? No. Is it fine? Yes. Meanwhile, Jack Black is absolutely killing it as Bowser.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie also stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike, and Khary Payton as the Penguin King.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie opens in theaters on April 7, 2022.
