AMC Releases ‘The Terror’ Season 2 Trailer

One of the best things to hit television last year was AMC’s historical horror-drama, The Terror. Based on the 2007 novel by Dan Simmons, it used the true tale of the ill-fated 1845 expedition by the HMS Erebus and HMS Terror as a jumping-off point for a supernatural thriller. Gaining praise from audiences and critics alike, AMC announced that The Terror would be a horror anthology series.

Last summer, The Hollywood Reporter stated that season 2 “will be set during World War II and center on an uncanny specter that menaces a Japanese-American community from its home in Southern California to the internment camps to the war in the Pacific.”

Today, AMC dropped the first trailer for the new season. Check it out:

George Takai, who himself was placed in one of these camps as a child, served as a creative consultant for the show. He also plays Yamato-san, a fisherman who is sent to two internment camps. In addition to Takai, the show features Derek Mio, Naoko Mori, C. Thomas Howell, and Kiki Sukezane.

The Terror: Infamy will premier on Monday, August 12 at 9pm EST.

Well, I’m sold. What about you?
