‘Upload’ Trailer: ‘The Office’ Creator Greg Daniels Has a New Comedy

Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for Upload. It’s a new comedy series from Greg Daniels, the creator of the American version of The Office. And if that’s not enough of a resume for you, just watch the trailer.

This looks really good. There’s some virtual reality jokes that I’ve seen before, but I like the premise enough to check it out in May. Robbie Amell is one of those actors that has potential for greater things, but never seems to star in the right projects. Maybe Upload will give him a chance to stretch his acting chops?

Side note: I do like that humans can project themselves into this virtual afterlife to visit with lost ones. That’s a cool idea.

Plot Synopsis:

From Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) comes Upload, a new sci-fi comedy. In the near future, people who are near death can be “uploaded” into virtual reality environments. Cash-strapped Nora works customer service for the luxurious “Lakeview” digital afterlife. When party-boy/coder Nathan’s car crashes, his girlfriend uploads him into Nora’s VR world.

Upload begins streaming May 1, 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.

What do you guys think? Interested in seeing this at all?
