Vin Diesel is ‘Bloodshot’ in First Trailer

Sony has released the first trailer for Bloodshot, the upcoming adaptation of the Valiant Comics superhero.

I know absolutely nothing about Bloodshot, or Valiant Comics; yet, this trailer has me interested. There are some really cool shots in this trailer. I specifically like the one of Diesel being hit in the face with gunfire and the blood pouring off his face in slow motion.

Bloodshot was initially intended to be the first film in a Valiant Cinematic Universe until Sony sold Harbinger to Paramount. That ended any chance for a Harbinger Wars crossover. Still, in a world with the DCEU and MCU, I’m down for a standalone superhero franchise again.

Plus, that Bloodshot logo is bloody good.

Plot Synopsis:

After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he originally thought.

Bloodshot hits theaters February 21, 2020.
