‘We Summon the Darkness’ Trailer: Alexandra Daddario is a Metal-Head

Saban Films has just released the official trailer for We Summon the Darkness. It’s got Alexandra Daddario in it, so that should be all it takes to get you to watch.

Okay, I’ll probably watch this. It’s a pretty vague trailer that doesn’t give away much detail the synopsis below makes me think that this is going to be pretty similar in story beats to Promising Young Woman. Beware what is happening on the surface because underneath is violence.

In addition to Daddario, the film stars Johnny Knoxville, Keean Johnson, Maddie Hasson, Logan Miller, Amy Forsyth, and Austin Swift.

Plot Synopsis:

On the way to a heavy metal concert, Alexis (Alexandra Daddario) and two girlfriends hear a news report of a local murder believed to be tied to a series of satanic killings. After the show, the girls invite three guys to join them at the estate owned by Alexis’s father, a fire-and-brimstone preacher (Johnny Knoxville). What starts as a party suddenly turns dark and deadly in this devilishly entertaining thriller.

We Summon the Darkness hits VOD and Digital HD April 10, 2020.

What do you guys think? Interested in seeing this at all?
