Netflix has released an official trailer for Wednesday. The upcoming comedy horror series stars Jenna Ortega and is based upon the character Wednesday Addams of The Addams Family. Let’s take a look.
Damn, I initially had no interest in watching this, but the trailer won me over. Nicely done, Netflix, nicely done.
In addition to Ortega, Wednesday stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Isaac Ordonez as the rest of the Addams Family. Gwendoline Christie and Christina Ricci (who played Wednesday in the live-action ’90s Addams Family films) also star. Tim Burton directed four of the eight episodes.
Plot Synopsis:
Wednesday is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Season One will follow Wednesday as she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.Snap snap.
Wednesday will begin streaming on Netflix in late 2022.
