‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ Spoiler Thread

Soldier (1998) – Rumor is… some of us recorded a podcast about Blade Runner recently for you guys to listen to. This film is a spiritual side-quel to the film per the writer David Webb Peoples. I feel like it’s a real fucking stretch on that one. He can say its set in the same world all he wants but it’s now where near as good as Blade Runner. The film is slow and kinda boring but not in any sort of good way like the movie it succeeds. Looks like he never wrote another film after this either. 1.5/5

Stalker (1979) – I’ve held out on watching this for. ev. er. I hated Solaris and just wasn’t sure I could subject myself to another of his films. But I trudged through. To be honest I had it on while I was working and wasn’t 100% sure of what was going on, but I did catch some of the important dialogue at a couple of parts which made me feel better. Plus after, Wikipedia helped. I enjoyed the visuals and the concept as a whole. It’s a much easier film to take on than that other one I mentioned. 4/5
