WHAT I WATCHED THIS WEEK
Lifeforce (1985) – I feel like this film has been talked about a lot here so I saw it was on Tubi and gave it a whirl. I mean minus the 8 minutes of naked Mathilda May (which was glorious), I was kinda bored. I liked the premise of space vampires draining life from people, but I wish more of it took place in space. I can’t believe Tobe Hooper followed up Poltergeist with this. 2.5/5 (5/5 for naked Space Girl)
Cross (2024) – I thought the Morgan Freeman Alex Cross movies were pretty decent back in the day. But then they rebooted it with Tyler Perry and that movie was forgettable as hell. But, Prime has been on a roll with the Jack Ryan and Jack Reacher reboots, so we gave the first episode of this a shot last night. It definitely piqued my interest. Hard to score it on one episode, but for now I’ll say… 4/5.
