Prime Video has released an official trailer for Welcome to Blumhouse, this year’s collection of four new horror films hitting direct-to-streaming this October. Let’s take a look.
I meant to watch last year’s Welcome to Blumhouse films, but never actually did because I kept hearing how terrible they were.
Hopefully this year will be different. That said, I’ll definitely be waiting for the reviews to pour in before I watch any of this year’s horror flicks. Better safe than sorry (a lesson Sailor Monsoon really should follow).
Plot Synopsis:
In Bingo Hell, a feisty senior citizen fights to protect her beloved neighborhood from an evil force that’s taken over the local bingo hall and is killing the residents in gruesome ways.
In Black as Night, a resourceful teenage girl driven by revenge, alongside her trusted friends, spends her summer battling vampires terrorizing her city of New Orleans.
In Madres, expecting their first child, a Mexican-American couple move to a migrant farming community in 1970’s California where strange symptoms and terrifying visions threaten their new family.
In The Manor, after suffering a mild stroke, Judith Albright reluctantly moves into a historic nursing home where she becomes convinced a supernatural force is killing the residents.
Black as Night & Bingo Hell begin streaming October 1, 2021 on Prime Video. Madres & The Manor begin streaming one week later on October 8, 2021.
