What Are Your Favorite ’90s Movies?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

In case you didn’t get the memo, November is “90s Month” at ScreenAge Wasteland. We just started our Top 100 Greatest ’90s Movie Characters list and have some more ’90s content coming down the pipeline. We’re also running daily Twitter polls over @SAWpolls asking fans to decide the best given film or show in a specific category (Spielberg, Cartoons, Box Office, etc.).

So today’s QOTD isn’t going to make you think long and hard. Nah, I just want to know: what are your favorite movies from the decade?

I’m more of an ’80s guy when it comes to movies I’ll rewatch time and time again, but I do have some favorites from the ’90s. For animation, aside from the Disney Renaissance classics, I like A Goofy Movie and Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. I grew up watching The Parent Trap and Mrs. Doubtfire. (Still waiting on my Lindsay Lohan comeback.)

More recently, I think Misery might have become my favorite movie from the 1990s. It’s my favorite Stephen King adaptation by far, and the performances are great. I could actually go for a rewatch right now.

So what about you, screenagers? What are some of your favorite ’90s movies?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
