What Film Feels Like Someone Else Directed It?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

Steven Spielberg, and not Tobe Hopper, directed Poltergeist. Everybody knows this story, so Google it because I’m not going to tell you. But this popular myth got me thinking about what other films people have thought must have been directed by someone other than the credited director.

So, the question I ask today is: what film feels like someone else directed it?

I don’t really have an answer, so instead, I’ll do a joke answer. 2017’s Justice League directed by Zack Snyder? It really feels like it was rewritten and reshot by Joss Whedon. (Get it because Snyder is still credited as the director.)

So what about you, screenagers? What film feels like someone else directed it?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
