What Horror Creature Would You Want as a Pet?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

Okay, this may not seem practical but for argument’s sake lets say whatever creature you pick, you were able to train at least to where they wouldn’t rip you in half or gnaw your face off. Godzilla, Triffids, Cujo, a Gremlin, a Graboid, Pumpkinhead, Q, The Toilet Ghoulie, etc. Pick whatever you want to be your pet. Which horror creature are you taking home as a pet and why?

So the question I ask today is: What horror creature would you want as a pet?

This was a lot easier than I thought it would be for me to decide. I have to go with some Crites from the 1986 creature feature Critters. First off they are kind of adorable and hilarious. If I could keep them from eating me alive, they seem like they would be a ball to play around with in the backyard or in the living room. They would make great guard pets as a burglar would think twice about entering my house with these little monsters on the prowl. Plus they eat pretty much anything which would greatly cut down on my waste. It would be a win win all around. For me at least.

So what about you, folks? What horror creature would you want as a pet?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
