What is Your Favorite ’80s Movie Score?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

The ’80s have a lot of great film scores, so do I even need to preface this question? I didn’t think so, so let’s just get right to it. The question I ask today is: what is your favorite music score from the ’80s?

Come on, did you really think I’d say anything else but Back to the Future? Alan Silvestri’s film score is one of the only owns I actually paid to own. If I could type out the familiar score beats, I definitely would because I hum them quite a bit. (Can you tell I’m not the best at describing film scores?) Anyway, Back to the Future, that’s my answer.

So what about you, screenagers? Got a favorite score from an ’80s movie?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
