Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.
Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.
Well, it’s February. Which means that (most of us) are in the dead of winter. There are a lot of movies that take place during the Christmas season, but not every movie with snow centers around the holiday.
So, the question I ask today is: What is your favorite (non-holiday) winter movie?
I had a tougher time with this one than I thought I would, but I ultimately decided to go with The Hateful Eight. While this isn’t Quentin Tarantino‘s best movie, I don’t feel that it deserves the hate that it gets. I mean, I do understand why people don’t like it, but…
It does go downhill after the intermission, but the cast is great and the first half of this movie has some of his best dialogue he has ever written and I think the fact that this movie is such a mess is the biggest reason why I love it so much and have fun watching it.
So what about you, screenagers? What is your favorite (non-holiday) winter movie?
I’ll see you in the trenches.
