What Was the Biggest Comic Book Movie Missed Opportunity?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

There are a lot of comic book movie missed opportunities, whether that comes from something not happening within the plot of a movie or that specific idea for a movie never sees the light of day.

So, the question I ask today is: What was the biggest comic book movie missed opportunity?

Looking back, it was a huge missed opportunity to not bring back the original cast of the X-Men trilogy and have another movie featuring these actors in these roles. I get that they still needed to give James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence another installment to complete their contracts, but it is quite evident that this is the direction that the franchise should’ve taken instead of the one that was given to us.

So what about you, screenagers? What was the biggest comic book movie missed opportunity?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
