Who is Your Favorite Ebenezer Scrooge?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

There are different versions of Ebenezer Scrooge over the decades, and even though we may have a favorite version of A Christmas Carol, it might not portray our favorite version of Scrooge.

So, the question I ask today is: who is your favorite Scrooge?

This isn’t my favorite version of A Christmas Carol but I do have to shout out Jim Carrey who voiced Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (2009). He did an excellent job at bringing the miserable old curmudgeon to life.

I’m still not sure if having Carrey voice all of the spirits was a good idea, but the dark and dreary tone makes it incredibly accurate to the source material and that should count for more than something.

So what about you, screenagers? who is your favorite Scrooge?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
