‘Wonder Woman: Bloodlines’ Trailer: She’s Back and Animated

IGN has exclusively released the official trailer for Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, the next film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies line.

This looks to be a prequel and sequel to Justice League: War, providing us with another origin story for Diana Prince. I’m all in with these DC animated films, so I’ll definitely be checking this out. It’s sort of humorous that while Marvel has been killing the cinematic universe in live-action for a decade now, DC has been crafting their own worthy cinematic universe in direct-to-video animation for the last five years. And dare I say it, that I enjoy both universes almost equally?

Just kidding, Marvel still blows them away, but what DC has done here in animation is impressive. Their animation division totally understands how to make its characters work.

Plot Synopsis:

In Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, Amazon princess Diana of Themyscira chooses to save fighter pilot Steve Trevor and return him to his home in America – setting in motion one of Wonder Woman’s most captivating chapters. Fulfilling the role of both ambassador as well as protector, Diana soon earns the name Wonder Woman from the gracious people of Earth. Equally strong in body, heart and will, she makes it her mission to help a troubled young girl enlisted by a deadly organization known as Villainy, Inc., whose criminal members have their sights set on invading Themyscira, Diana’s paradise home.

Wonder Woman: Bloodlines hits home video on October 22, 2019.
