Described as H.P. Lovecraft meets The Hills Have Eyes, Toronto-based Raven Banner (Wolfcop) has sales rights on the cannibal creature feature The Barge People which will be repped at the forthcoming Cannes market, reports ScreenDaily.
These kind of films are an acquired taste but that just looks like some Lovecraftian fun! I’m all for practical effects mixed with weird storytelling and this seems like it will scratch that itch just fine. What do you guys think? You ready to meet The Barge People?
Plot Synopsis:
Set on the canals amid the glorious British countryside, two sisters and their boyfriends head off for a relaxing weekend away on a barge, unaware of the flesh-eating fish mutants lurking in the water, ready and waiting to feed.
