‘Bad Boys 4’ Officially a Go at Sony; Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah Returning to Direct

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are ready to be Bad Boys again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two actors have signed on to reprise their roles as Detective Lieutenant Michael Eugene ‘Mike’ Lowrey (Smith) and Detective Lieutenant Marcus Miles Burnett (Lawrence) in the currently untitled Bad Boys 4 at Sony Pictures.

The sequel is in early pre-production at the studio, with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah returning to direct after helming Bad Boys for Life. The script was written by Chris Bremner. Jerry Bruckheimer, Smith for Westbrook, Doug Belgrad, and Chad Oman will share producing credits on Bad Boys 4, with Lawrence, James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman, and Jon Mone on board as executive producers.

Bad Boys 4 will mark the first high-profile project for Smith, who is definitely a bad boy after slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. (It was a G.I. Jane joke!) Could this be the comeback film the actor so desperately needs right now? I guess we’ll have to wait and find out.

No release date has been announced for Bad Boys 4 at this time.

Are you down for more Bad Boys? Do you think this one will be titled Bad Boys 4EVA?
