Bill & Ted Begin Facing the Music This June

Movieweb is reporting that Bill & Ted Face the Music is finally going into production this June. “Excellent!”

With Keanu Reeves getting ready to finish up his press tour for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum it is perfect timing for him to team back up with Alex Winter to reprise their iconic roles. The two of them have been pushing for this for what feels like forever and I’m stoked to see it finally come to fruition. Normally, I’m not a fan of sequels coming out years later just to ride on the nostalgia train, but this just feels like it will be fun.

It was also previously reported that, Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) is set to direct the highly-anticipated sequel, from a script by original writers Chris Matheson (Goofy Movie) and Ed Solomon (Men in Black) with Orion Pictures backing them for production.

The third installment of the Bill & Ted trilogy (who knew that would be a thing) will center on still best friends, Bill and Ted as middle-aged men when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it setting them out on a new adventure. In addition to Reeves and Winter, it’s also been confirmed that William Sadler will be reprising his role as Death.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is currently set to “Party on!” in theaters on August 21, 2020.

What do you guys think? Is this excellent news for you or do you think it is bogus?
