Maika Monroe is getting back into business with Neon.
According to Deadline, the Longlegs star has reteamed with the studio for Brides, an upcoming horror thriller that will be directed by Chloe Okuno, who previously worked with Monroe on her debut feature, Watcher. Pre-production is underway, and it is set to begin shooting in March 2025. Neon will release the film theatrically.
Okuno will direct Brides from her original screenplay. The movie follows Sally Bishop (Monroe) and her husband, who travel to a remote Italian villa where the villa’s owner, a mysterious count, takes a peculiar interest in Sally.
