It looks like Transformers/G.I. Joe is finally happening.
According to Deadline, Chris Hemsworth is in talks to star in the upcoming crossover movie, which the producers of both franchises have repeatedly teased for about a decade. Transformers and G.I. Joe are both based on popular Hasbro toy lines.
If you didn’t watch last year’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (and I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t, sorry Paramount), the movie ended with Anthony Ramos’ Noah Diaz being recruited into the G.I. Joes. At this time, it is unknown if Ramos will be returning for the crossover movie.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto & Don Murphy are producing. Steven Spielberg and Hasbro Entertainment are executive producing.
Word on the street is that Paramount wants this sucker to go into production in 2025 or so for a 2026 release. We’ll see if that happens.
