Nick Offerman and Ben Kingsley are the latest additions to Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
Per Variety, Offerman and Kingsley will voice undisclosed characters in the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie. They join fellow newcomers Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade, whose roles are also unknown at this time, as well as Kristen Bell, who will be voicing Amy Rose.
As for returning stars, Ben Schwartz is back as the voice of the titular anthropomorphic speedster, as are Keanu Reeves as Shadow, Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna, and Colleen O’Shaughnessy as Miles “Tails” Prower.
The returning live-action cast includes James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Lee Majdoub, and Jim Carrey, who, for some reason, decided that he wanted to end his career by playing Dr. Ivo Robotnik for a decade straight.
Plot details remain under wraps for Sonic the Hedgehog 4. However, the sequel is expected to pull inspiration from the 1993 platform game Sonic CD, which featured the first appearances of Amy Rose and Metal Sonic, both of whom were introduced in Sonic 3‘s mid-credits scene.
Directed by Jeff Fowler, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be released in theaters by Paramount on March 19, 2027.
